How do you know you're an adult? Moving out. Are you ready? I am going to make a list and if everything is checked off then you are ready to be an adult. Adulting can be hard but if you work hard it can be great to be an adult. 1. Can you save money? Adulting is all about saving and making sure that there is enough money for bills. (Rent, groceries, utilities, water, etc) and yes groceries is a bill because you can't live without it and going out to eat is more expensive. 2. Can you cook? As an adult you have to learn how to cook or how will you survive? 3. Do you have a good paying job that you will be able to pay rent? Like I said earlier you have to work hard in order to be an adult because you have bills to pay. Also I am sure you would want to buy things like tv, furniture, wifi, clothes, etc. 4. Do you know how to do your own laundry? If that is a no then I don't think you are ready. Your parents can't do your laundry forever. It is time to grow up because ...
